Purple-colored, it reveals a fragrant perfume of sausage, game, and blueberry. There is some light tannin to support 1-2 years of evolution and an overall elegant personality. Drink this lengthy effort over the next 7 years.

Amavi Cellars is the sister winery to the better known Pepper Bridge Winery. It shares the same winemaker, Jean-Francois Pellet, and the same estate vineyards (Seven Hills, Pepper Bridge, and Les Collines) but from different vineyard blocks. Prices are about half of those of Pepper Bridge with virtually the same level of quality but made in a more forward style.
