Find It Online

This sophisticated utility allows eRobertParker.com subscribers to search the inventories of major wine retailers worldwide to find virtually any wine currently available for sale.

Advantages:  In the past wine search services have collected retailer data and put it in a mountain of searchable text.  We classify retailer listings into actual wines by matching them to our extensive and ever growing database of wines.  This provides a search process that is more reliable and easier to use for wine lovers at all levels of expertise.   Moreover, the eRobertParker.com wine database now includes many tens of thousands of wine that have not been reviewed in The Wine Advocate as well as the wines that have been reviewed.

Our proprietary SmartSearch technology matches hundreds of thousands of retailer offerings daily to this huge wine database so that you can find pricing and availability for the exact wine you’re looking for, not for a long listing of “matches” that simply have similar words in their name to some word you typed.   Furthermore, by classifying retailer offerings as actual wines, searches can be correlated in powerful ways, with:  Wine Advocate scores (helping you determine quality/price ratio), similar wines (i.e. 2005 Bordeaux futures), tasting note source (i.e. latest Wine Advocate), wine type (i.e. non-vintage French sparkling roses under $40) and so on.

The retailer offerings themselves are the most up-to-date in the industry.  In most cases the data is collected every night to ensure it’s as close to real time as we can possibly get.

Finally, we are more selective than other similar services in our choice of retailers to work with.  We’re careful to ensure that they are legitimate businesses with a genuine commitment to excellence in all aspects of their wine trade.  We ask that all our participating retailers sign and adhere to a written Retailer Code of Conduct.  Any reports of significant, unresolved customer service problems with a given merchant may result in that merchant’s exclusion from the program.  To see a list of our participating retailers, click the link at the upper left.

How to Use It: When you enter the keyword(s) and press the Search button, you will activate our SmartSearch, which sifts through an enormous amount of data to provide you with fast and manageable results.  For example, should you input a keyword -- such as “Latour” -- that matches a great number of listings, instead of getting page-upon-page of retailer offerings with the word Latour somewhere in them, you’re presented with a clear listing of the producers with Latour in their names and/or producers who make wines with Latour in their names.  Once you select the producer you want, you can then select the correct wine to display all matching retailer offerings.

If you do wish to see all possible matches to the words you have typed using a pure text search, you can bypass the Intelligent Search by clicking on the “Retailer Text Search” button.  And, of course, you can always select Advanced Search to perform the most sophisticated retailer searches available anywhere on the Internet.
