David Schildknecht's career in fine wine began in 1982. Since then he has developed an international reputation as a reviewer and wine writer. David has been a James Beard Award finalist for his wine journalism, the recipient of the Vinea Wachau's 2006 Steinfederpreis, and has authored the material on German wines in the newly released 3rd edition of the Oxford Companion to Wine. David covers the wines of Germany, Alsace, Burgundy and the Loire Valley.
